A Pair of 19th Century Italian Hand Carved and Painted Table Lamps

Large and imposing oversized Neo Classical urns with a rich, patinated, hand painted finish over gesso with gilt leaf motif, hand carved relief decoration attached to acanthus leaf handles

Would gracefully flank the ends of sofa, illuminate a hallway on a console table, or make excellent bedside table lamps

Occasional minor chips.

Some historic woodworm holes

Some shrinkage splits but solid

Replacement brass feet

Wear commensurate with age and use

Fully rewired using 3 core braided fabric cable with new switched lamp holder (B22 Bayonet, bulb not included), UK 3 pin plug and PAT inspected

Cleaning, Polishing & Restoration

All our collections have been through our workshop and where possible, we always try to maintain the original finish preserving the patina and colour, some items are sympathetically restored and this is done by our own skilled craftsmen using only traditional methods

We complete a full assessment, re-wire and PAT inspection on all lighting. The full assessment can include general upkeep and updating – Fitting new lamp holders, deep cleaning, minor repairs and replacement of fragile metal pins are all part of our service. Rewiring includes a standard rewire to conform with UK electrical regulations to an adaptation or conversion
