Art Deco Table Lamp with Art Deco Yellow Opaline Globe

Description

Art Deco Table Lamp with Barley Twist Chrome and Art Deco Yellow Opaline Globe

A very beautiful Art Deco Table Lamp with a stepped designed base and barley twist column. A stunning white opaline art deco globe.

A stunning yellow art deco globe. Earlier 1920’s globes were developed with a frosting for a low key atmosphere. In the 1930’s a polished, standout look was more desirred and the frosted globes were replaced with opaline.

Collectible Art Deco Chrome was often made by Top Designers. During the 1920s and 1930s, chrome items were referred to as “poor man’s silver.” Never mind that some of it was made in the art deco decades by some of the most important designers of the era. From decorative accessories such as lighting to everyday kitchen objects, it brightened the homes of young couples who couldn’t afford sterling silver and was a favorite wedding gift. In those days, most items cost only a few pounds/dollars.
