Description
Victorian Mother of Pearl blotter.
This piece has beautiful hand painted floral sprays and scrollwork, and is embellished with inlaid pieces of Mother of Pearl. This blotter is in fantastic used condition.
The blotter contains used pages with blotted ink text and a couple of unused pages. Blotter pages were used to absorb the excess ink after using a pen & quill to write a letter or note. This prevented the ink from running and smearing, and allowed it to dry quickly.
